10 Week Check-Up

On Monday (8/16), I went for my 10-week check-up.  This would be the first time that we would be able to hear the heartbeat!!  I was so excited.  Stephen wasn't able to get away from work to go with me, so I recorded the heartbeat for him :)  It is amazing at how something so tiny can turn your day around!  Since I had it already recorded, I decided to send it on to our families so they could hear it too!  I go back on Monday 8/30 to do 12-week tests and I will have 2 ultrasounds done that day....so hopefully we will get more pictures of Peanut!

Andrea, my sister-in-law, had her check-up a couple of days after mine and she will get to find out if it is a boy or a girl in about 3 weeks!  We can't wait!  I won't find out until I am 18 weeks....so we still have 7 more weeks to go on that.

To catch you up on other things, Stephen has been dealing with a big failure aboard the Space Station.  Things are getting back to normal, which is good for him!  He put in many long days working with the team on this.  I will let him post more about it - I'm not even going to try to explain it :)  Also, Eric, my brother-in-law, has moved down here and in with us!  Julie and Benjamin will be down here at the end of October and we are really excited to have some family living close to us.  We have been going house hunting with them and there are so many house up for sale in the Clear Lake area.
